Two great meals.

Well "T" Day is over for another fleeting year. Thanksgiving is not one of my favorite holidays. I'm not a turkey lover as it's hard to cook a good one. They always seem to turn out dry and tasteless. This year was the exception. This year we cooked the bird and trimmings. I wanted ham but Barb's daughter and boyfriend were coming and wanted turkey..so be it. Appreciatively I sliced and it looked like my fears were unfounded, the juices poured. We had all the trimmings, dressing, smashed potatoes, & gravy (another seldom-ly good item). There was string bean casserole & yams; I prefer sweet potatoes. It was excellent and I was glad I could hand out honest compliments. The biggest disappointment of the day, gabby wasn't here. This was her dads Thanksgiving year.

The second dinner was Friday at Barb's brothers house. I was looking forward to this turkey feast as Pippa is the arguably best cook in the family. I was not disappointed, everything was tasty. There were six at the table and one in the crib. Steve's son his wife and new born were there. The baby appreciated our day together, filling the air with coos and giggles, a good baby. Later we were joined by Steve's daughter and her three kids, who were on there way home from Christmas tree cutting.

So another one under the belt. Now, on to Christmas...
